These standards are based on the SWEM official server Horse Welfare Standards, although some changes have been made to suit Evergreen Estate specifically.

Stall Standards

• Stallions must be kept in separate pastures from mares
• Stalls must contain 4 complete walls (floor to ceiling - windows and doorways do not impact this)
• Minimum area of floor space excludes walls and doorways
  • Elements such as feeders and waterers do not impact floor space
• Stalls must be above ground - no underground stalls (Partially underground stalls may be permitted case-by-case, as long as windows are above ground - please contact DoA Customer Service to ensure the stall is up to standard)
• Horse stalls must provide constant access to food, water, and shelter from the sun (i.e. no glass rooves or sunlights above stalls)
• Fences surrounding paddocks (and pastures) must be a minimum of 1.5 Tall (e.g. single block + half slab, or a fence)
• Paddock may be entirely covered by shelter but should have a maximum of 2 complete walls
• Pastures should not be 11 blocks (or less) wide/long at any point
• Pastures must provide constant access to food, water, and shelter
  • Groundwater, such as creeks and rivers, can substitute a water trough although this is not advised - during winter this water will freeze over and limit water access
