About

A type of public barn focused on breeding and selling a singular horse breed, such as a Thoroughbred or Quarter Horse. These sales can either be conducted privately (through client inquiry or barn advertisements) or publicly (through the New Riverside Auction House). Breeding barns can also offer stud services at a fee for clients.

Requirements

  1. Purchased & registered plot of land (see Property Management)
  2. Land only used for breeding (i.e. breeding barn does not provide lessons, boarding, etc.)
  3. Land includes office space (with detailed records of breeding lines)
  4. Minimum 1 stablehand per 10 horses
  5. [Optional] Minimum 1 horse trainer per 5 horses
  6. Registered breeding brand - must be present in horse’s show name (can be a symbol or initials)
  7. Land includes adequate amount of foaling/birthing stalls (i.e. 1 stall per pregnant mare)
  8. Land includes separate areas (i.e. barns and pastures) for mares and stallions to prevent unwanted pregnancies
  9. Maximum 25 horses housed in property (excluding foals for sale - i.e. no breeding after 25 horses exist on the property)
