A type of public barn involved in rescuing, rehabilitating, and selling horses. These sales can either be conducted privately (through client inquiry or barn advertisements) or publicly (through the New Riverside Auction House). If a horse has been in a rescue barn for more than a month, it should be donated to either another public barn (i.e. for breeding or lessons) or sent overseas to another facility
Requirements
- Purchased & registered plot of land (see Property Management)
- Land only used for rescuing, rehabilitating, and selling horses (i.e. rescue barn does not provide lessons, boarding, etc.)
- Land includes office space (with detailed records of rescued horses)
- Minimum 1 stablehand per 10 horses
- Minimum 1 horse trainer per 5 horses
- Volunteers (without pay) can be enlisted to help manage rescue
- Horses can only be sourced through player donation - no sourcing wild or bought horses to fill barns
- Maximum 50 horses housed in property (including owner and staff horses)
- Land includes adequate facilities: min. 1 arena, min. 1 round pen, min. 1 quarantine barn
- Horse sales should be advertised at a maximum of once a week, although a final advertisement can be made on the 30th day
- Maximum 1-month stay (30 days) for horses - if nobody has adopted the horse in this time, it should either be donated (preferred) or sent overseas (contact server owner)
- If the quality of the rescue is not acceptable, the owner will receive a warning and a fine - if this is not rectified, they will be blacklisted from owning another rescue
- If the rescue is abandoned, the owner will be blacklisted from owning another rescue and receive a fine
